Recently, fatal traffic accidents caused by out-of-control container trucks have occurred one after another in our country, highlighting the danger of "roads being like a tiger's mouth".

As the number of vehicles increases, the risk of traffic accidents also increases.

Judging from the data of the past nine years, except for a decline in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the movement control order, the number of traffic accidents nationwide has been on an upward trend, reaching nearly 600,000 last year, setting a new high.

In terms of the number of deaths, although it has fallen for five consecutive years since 2017, it has rebounded after the epidemic prevention restrictions were lifted in 2022. Last year alone, the number of people killed in traffic accidents reached 6,443, setting a six-year high, equivalent to about 18 people dying on the road every day, or one person dying every 80 minutes.

Seeing such shocking data, the government has to take it seriously. In order to raise the public's awareness of traffic safety, the police followed the practice of releasing real-time data every day during the epidemic. Starting from March 15 this year, they will publish the previous day's traffic accident data every day, hoping to provide a more intuitive warning.

In the six months since then, what information has the data on car accidents in my country revealed that deserves our attention? Let's take a look at the chart below.

1,738 traffic accidents per day, one death every 103 minutes
