In order to improve the salary levels and productivity of local employees, the government will fully implement the Progressive Wage Policy (PWP) starting this year.
This policy is open to Malaysian citizens and full-time employees with a starting salary between the current minimum wage and RM4,999, but does not include government-linked companies, multinational corporations and certain specific sectors such as public administration, defense management, employers engaged in household activities, and production activities that are not clearly distinguished as self-use.
